4-H Benefit Featured Grammy Winner Hillary Lindsey, Clovers and Co, and Darrell Huckaby


For twenty-eight years, Georgia 4-H Clovers & Co. has helped
4-H'ers develop their Performing Arts skills and talents. Grammy Award winner and Clovers Alumna, Hillary Lindsey recently joined the group for a special performance at Rock Eagle.  It was a fun evening and a great celebration of 4-H.

Hillary Lindsey is one of Nashville's most esteemed songwriters. Lindsey has penned hits for Martina McBride, Sara Evans, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Trisha Yearwood, Lee Ann Womack, Faith Hill, and many others. With a broad range of cuts, multiple #1 hits and a Grammy award for "Country Song of the Year" under her belt, this small town Georgia girl has made a big mark in Nashville.  Lindsey's songwriting hits include: "Jesus, Take the Wheel" by Carrie Underwood; "Wasted" Carrie Underwood; "So Small" Carrie Underwood;  "Just a Dream" Carrie Underwood; "Blessed" Martina McBride; "This One's for the Girls" Martina McBride; "As If" Sara Evans; "Some Things Never Change" Sara Evans; "Three Mississippi" Terri Clark; "Stronger" Faith Hill, to name a few. Hillary is a former four year member of Clovers & Co., and a Georgia Master 4-H'er in the Performing Arts Vocal Project.  Lindsey will be available for photographs and to sign autographs and copies of the 4-H Clover Country CD which can be purchased at the benefit.

Southern humorist, author and syndicated columnist, Darrell Huckaby,will entertain the audience and also serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the event.  Huckaby will be signing autographs and selling copies of his books at the benefit.

The nationally acclaimed Georgia 4-H performing arts group, Clovers & Co. presented their 2009 show "Turn Up the Music".  The group is composed of forty-two talented vocalists, dancers, instrumentalists, and production crew members from throughout the state ranging in age from 11 - 19. The benefit was held at Rock Eagle Talmadge Auditorium on March 21, 2009 at 7:30 PM.
