National Shooting Sports Invitational


Fifteen 4-H'ers traveled to Grand Island, Nebraska  to represent Georgia at the National Shooting Sports Invitational June  23-28, 2009.  The National Invitation consiseded of three seperate days of events.  Teams representing Georgia were:

Compound Archery, Lowndes County
Team Members John Crosby, Chase Ford, Conner Purvis & Andrew Herrin.
3D Team Competition - 2nd Place
Overall Team Competition - 5th Place

Recurve Archery, Wayne County
Team Members Garrett Frye, Cra Henslin, Cooper Hope & Shelby Herrin
FITA Team Competition - 1st Place
Field Team Competition - 1st Place
3D Team COmpetition - 2nd Place
Overall Team Competition - 1st Place (National Winners)

Shotgun, Turner County
Team Members Brian Gregory, Michael Donahooo, Cory Pylant & Zack Phillips
Skeet Team Competition - 3rd Place
Trap Skeet Competition - 5th Place
Overall Team Competition - 2nd Place

Small Bore Rifle, Laurens County

Silhouette Team Competition - 5th Place
