State Land Judging Contest


State 4-H Land Judging Contest was held in McDuffie County on Saturday, August 22, 2009. State honors in the Junior Division go to team members Gaige Dickerson, Zane Henderson, and Evan Wood from Dade County. Zane Henderson was the High Scoring Individual.  State honors in the Senior division go to team members Stephen Collins, K.C. McGill and Katy McGill from Baldwin County. Stephen Collins and Katy McGill were  the High Scoring Individuals. 

Land Judging, sponsored by Farm Credit Associations of Georgia, allows  Georgia 4-H members to develop an appreciation of one of Georgia’s most valuable resources, our soil.  A special thank you to Mr. George Reeves for hosting this year’s event at his McDuffie County farm.
