RE: Volunteer Recognition Awards

Many of you have done an outstanding job this year utilizing volunteers to make the best better in your county programs. We have an outstanding opportunities to recognized your leaders.
 

The Georgia 4-H Volunteer Leaders Association will  recognize individual leaders this year with theG4-HVLA Volunteer of the Year program. The program is designed to congratulate and recognize the outstanding efforts of volunteers. The application for this award is quite simple.  A fact sheet listing accomplishments with  no more than two letters are requested. It is recommended that one of the letters be from a person who has benefited from the leader's involvement.  The letter is not judged on grammatical correctness but on the content and impact the leader has had. Each winner will receive be recognized during State 4-H Congress with the state winner receiving a scholarship to Southern Region Leader Forum.

Volunteers continue to expand the efforts of our 4-H programs. Don't let these fantastic recognition opportunities pass you by. Applications for both awards are due to me no later than July 11 Winners will be notified no later than July 14. Formal recognition for these achievements will be during the opening afternoon assembly of State 4-H Congress (2 p.m.)
